Big new space, familiar menu
In a press release via PR Newswire, P.F. Chang's said its Norman outpost will sit at 1825 24th Ave NW and clock in at 5,893 square feet, with room for roughly 189 guests. The company describes the look and feel as a blend of modern Asian influences, paired with its signature dishes, seasonal specials and a lineup of handcrafted cocktails.
As reported by KOKH, the restaurant opens to the public April 27 and will serve from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Officials also told the station that the first 20,000 guests during the grand-opening period will score a complimentary "Red Envelope" surprise offer while supplies last, so expect some serious line loyalty from early birds.
Ribbon-cutting, mascots and a nonprofit boost
The Norman Chamber's event calendar lists a ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. on the morning of April 27, according to the Norman Chamber of Commerce. P.F. Chang's said the celebration will feature OU mascots and that OU alumnus and announcer Chris Arnold will handle MC duties, per PR Newswire. The brand is also teaming up with the Center for Children and Families, with proceeds from friends-and-family events on April 25 and 26 going to the nonprofit.
"We can't wait to join the Sooner family, support local events, and become a favorite destination for students and the broader OU community," the company said, signaling it plans to be more than just another chain off the highway.
