Stop On Solley Road Ended In Crash
Detectives assigned to the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team carried out the traffic stop on Solley Road near Energy Parkway, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The vehicle initially came to a stop but then fled as officers approached. Detectives say they did not pursue, and the sedan crashed a short distance away. Officers reported that the driver was concealing items beneath a parked vehicle before they took him into custody, the department said.

After the crash, searches turned up a mix of suspected narcotics and packaging materials, including about 324.56 grams of cannabis, 10.05 grams of cocaine, 4.97 grams of crack cocaine, and 4.84 grams of PCP, along with two packages of Suboxone and a large amount of suspected packaging containers, as reported by Fox Baltimore. Investigators also recovered a Beretta APX 9mm with an obliterated serial number that was loaded with nine rounds, plus 19 additional 9mm rounds and 15 rounds of .40-caliber ammunition, the station added. Police described the seizure as part of an active weapons and controlled dangerous substances investigation.
Suspect Identified And Charged

Legal Context
The case was logged as a weapons and controlled dangerous substances matter and will move through Anne Arundel County's criminal process, with any formal charging decisions to be made by the State's Attorney's Office. The presence of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and the department's note that the suspect is prohibited from having guns are details prosecutors will weigh as the case proceeds.
