Gutor Electronics America has locked in an approximately 90,000-square-foot lease at Houston Point 290 in northwest Houston, a deal that pushes the three-building industrial complex to full occupancy. The U.S. affiliate of the Swiss power-systems company is planting a sizable flag in one of the city’s busiest logistics corridors.
According to REBusinessOnline, the lease totals roughly 90,000 square feet and is the transaction that brought Houston Point 290 to capacity.
About Houston Point 290
Houston Point 290 is a three-building, roughly 384,000-square-foot industrial development in northwest Houston developed by Creation and built by LGE Design Build. As detailed on Creation Equity, the project features 32-foot clear heights, about 110 dock doors and wide truck courts, along with direct access to Highway 6 and U.S. 290.
Tenant Mix And Representation
REBusinessOnline reports that Gutor joins tenants including Goodwill, Windy City Wire, LINC and Procraft Cabinetry at the campus. The outlet also notes that Hughes Marino brokers Robert Johnson IV and Charles Fertitta Jr. represented Gutor in the lease negotiations, while developer Creation acted as landlord and handled its side of the deal in-house.
Gutor's U.S. Growth
Gutor is a long-established Swiss manufacturer of industrial uninterruptible power supplies and related power solutions, with a global footprint and service operations. A March 3, 2026, press release from Latour Capital highlights recent investment activity that supports the firm's expansion plans.
Why This Matters For The 290 Corridor
The U.S. 290/Highway 6 corridor in northwest Houston has been a magnet for new industrial product as companies seek faster access to the region's ports and interstate network. LGE's project page for Houston Point 290 illustrates the kind of higher-clear, well-docked campuses developers are building to serve distributors and logistics operators.
The Gutor lease is another sign that modern industrial space remains in strong demand in northwest Houston's logistics belt. With Houston Point 290 now fully leased, nearby deliveries and upcoming completions are likely to be watched closely by developers and brokers.
