A Tuesday evening motorcycle crash along a scenic stretch of Missouri Highway 94 left one rider dead in western St. Charles County, authorities said.
The wreck happened around 6:30 p.m. near Klondike Park, just west of the town of Augusta. Police said the motorcycle left the roadway and the rider was killed in the collision. No other vehicles were involved.
According to First Alert 4, St. Charles County police responded to the scene Tuesday evening and described the incident as a single-vehicle motorcycle crash. Officials have not released the rider’s name or said what might have caused the motorcycle to veer off the road.

Klondike Park sits along Highway 94, with St. Charles County listing the park’s address as 4600 Highway 94 S. in Augusta. That puts the crash site just outside the town limits.
