Three Pittsburgh dining brands — Atria's, Juniper Grill, and the new 1930 Cigar Bar — have quietly set up shop shoulder to shoulder along Railroad Street in the Strip District this week, just as the city gears up to host the 2026 NFL Draft. A reception-style open house and ribbon-cutting gave guests an early tour of the kitchens, bars, and private dining spaces before the weekend crowds rolled in.
New arrivals on Railroad Street
Atria's, 1930 Cigar Bar, and Juniper Grill have all claimed space on Railroad Street, with the timing aimed at the surge of visitors expected for draft weekend, according to WTAE. The openings were marked by a ribbon-cutting that flowed into a reception-style open house, drawing a mix of restaurant-goers and local officials.
State Sen. Wayne Fontana and Mayor Corey O'Connor were on hand for the ceremony, and O'Connor said, "We have a lot of momentum going on right now in the Strip District," praising the new spots as a boost for the neighborhood, as reported by WTAE. City officials say fresh anchor tenants help solidify the Strip as a go-to destination during major events.
Local restaurateurs behind the project
The three-concept cluster comes from local operators Pat and Nancy McDonnell, who run the Atria's and Juniper Grill brands; they called the Railroad Street effort a "dream come true," according to Audacy. For Atria's, the Strip District location marks a return to the city after the brand's PNC Park outpost closed in 2018.
Site and recent history
The trio occupies space in the Cork Factory Lofts garage area, taking over the address previously held by Cioppino/Osteria 2350, per the Pittsburgh Business Times. The move adds another entry to a run of redevelopment projects along the riverfront stretch of Railroad Street.
Menus, hours and what to expect
Juniper Grill's site highlights a California-inspired menu and a full bar, while 1930 Cigar Bar promotes premium cigars paired with cocktails and bourbons, according to Juniper Grill and 1930 by Atria's. The 1930 listing gives the Strip District address as 2350 Railroad Street and lists evening cigar-bar hours.
A grand-opening celebration is scheduled for April 1, organizers say, with private dining and catering options to follow. Reservations and full hours are posted on each concept's website. Officials say the trio of openings adds to the Strip District's growing lineup of destinations as Pittsburgh heads into a busy spring event calendar.
