The PNC Broadway Lights series is set to bring Dirty Dancing (Nov. 3–8, 2026); Death Becomes Her (Feb. 9–14, 2027); Oh, Mary! (Mar. 16–28, 2027); Peter Pan Goes Wrong (a Charlotte exclusive Apr. 20–May 2, 2027); Buena Vista Social Club (June 15–20, 2027); Phantom of the Opera (July 7–18, 2027); Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Aug. 10–15, 2027) and Beauty and the Beast (Sept. 7–12, 2027). Exclusives and premieres
Axios notes that the season features three shows coming straight from Broadway and five that are Charlotte or regional premieres, a mix Blumenthal says is meant to widen the range of local drama and comedy. The outlet also highlights Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as the first North American tour in more than 25 years and confirms that Peter Pan Goes Wrong will land only in Charlotte on this particular run.
Tickets and subscriptions
A seven show PNC Broadway Lights subscription will run theater fans from about $331 to $1,014, including fees and taxes, with the option to tack on Oh, Mary! for an eight show package or swap certain shows for extras, according to the Charlotte Observer. Single ticket on sale dates are still under wraps, but season ticket holders will get first crack at seats along with other perks, so serious fans may want to circle their calendars early.
Community programming and what to expect
Blumenthal Arts says it will keep its Community Cues program going, offering free behind the scenes conversations and events tied to each show, and directs audiences to its site for box office details and education offerings. Taken together, the new season points to another big year for uptown stages and further cements the nonprofit’s role as a regional presenting hub.
