Stow just scored a sizable new corporate neighbor. AMF-Bruns of America is opening a 41,000-square-foot North American headquarters in the city, pulling together office and manufacturing operations that had long been housed in a leased Hudson facility. The move is expected to boost production capacity and add payroll to the region.
The Cleveland Business Journal reported the relocation on April 7, 2026, noting that AMF-Bruns is shifting its U.S. operations to the larger Stow campus after more than a decade of running out of Hudson.
About the building
The new facility combines office space with production areas and layers in eco-minded features such as rooftop solar and energy-efficient systems, according to industry coverage. School Bus Fleet reported that AMF-Bruns broke ground on the Stow site in May 2025 as the company prepared to move its North American operations out of Hudson.
Incentives, jobs and timeline
City of Stow records show the project is planned for parcel #56-19034 at the corner of Campus Drive and McCauley Road and calls for roughly an $8 million investment in a 41,000-square-foot industrial building. City documents tied to a Community Reinvestment Area application estimate the relocation will create 38 new jobs and about $2,479,260 in new payroll by the end of the third year. The application requests a 15-year abatement on the increase in property taxes, and the packet sets a construction window running through April 2026.
Company background
AMF-Bruns manufactures wheelchair ramps, restraints and seating systems and describes itself as a global market leader in vehicle technology for wheelchair passengers. The company’s site now lists a Stow address for its North American operations, reflecting the shift from its longtime Hudson location. AMF-Bruns of America notes that it serves customers across North and South America and has steadily expanded over the years.
What comes next
Ray Fogg Building Methods was tapped to construct the Stow facility, and local approvals and incentives moved quickly after the 2025 groundbreaking. Ray Fogg and city records indicate work picked up speed after planning approvals, and the new headquarters is now in place to support AMF-Bruns’ U.S. customers from its expanded Stow base.
