Aritzia has locked in a lease for roughly 16,000 square feet at The Shops at Columbus Circle, the retail complex at 10 Columbus Circle, marking another big step in the Vancouver-born label’s U.S. expansion. The new boutique will sit just off Central Park and plug into the cluster of destination shops and restaurants on the edge of Midtown West.
Industry reporting shows the deal was brokered by Newmark's Ariel Schuster and Jason Wecker, and that Related Companies owns the shopping hub. According to Commercial Observer, the lease covers more than 16,000 square feet, and the signing ranked as one of the city's largest retail deals in April, per The Real Deal.
New Anchor For The Shops At Columbus Circle
Related, which owns The Shops at Columbus Circle, has been repositioning the center toward lifestyle and apparel tenants as part of a broader push to keep local foot traffic strong. The company's retail site highlights programming and new signings designed to play off the complex’s Michelin-tier restaurants and destination retail mix, according to Related.
Aritzia’s Manhattan Footprint
For Manhattan, the Columbus Circle lease is another brick in Aritzia’s growing local wall. Aritzia’s official store locator lists boutiques at Hudson Yards, a Flatiron flagship, a SoHo flagship and a Fifth Avenue location in the city, so the Columbus Circle space would add yet another Manhattan outpost, according to Aritzia.
Part Of A Wider U.S. Growth Push
The Columbus Circle deal lands in the middle of a busy opening streak. Aritzia told investors it opened 14 boutiques in fiscal 2026 and signaled additional geographic expansion in its Q4 results, according to Aritzia. Trade coverage and reporting name Birmingham, Fort Worth, New Orleans and St. Louis among the new U.S. markets the brand plans to enter, and local outlets have already pegged a roughly 9,200-square-foot Lakeside location in Metairie, according to FashionUnited and Biz New Orleans.
What Landlords And Shoppers Might Expect
Retail data suggest landlords still prize big-name apparel tenants in the area. Prime Upper West Side asking rents averaged about $295 per square foot in the fourth quarter of 2025, a figure cited in lease coverage. That pricing, and Related’s strategy to stack complementary brands side by side, suggests Aritzia’s arrival could help stabilize traffic for nearby shops and restaurants, according to Commercial Observer.
Neither Aritzia nor Related has announced an opening date for the Columbus Circle boutique, and local reporting notes no timeline was provided. Coverage of the lease also says an opening date has not been announced, and spokespeople did not immediately provide a timeline when reached by reporters, according to WhatNow.
