The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested a Muskogee County man on Friday after agents say they found child sexual abuse material on electronic devices at his Braggs home. Authorities took 37-year-old James Turnispeed into custody and booked him into the Muskogee County Jail on multiple felony counts. Muskogee police and the sheriff's office joined OSBI agents at the scene.

In a post on X by OSBI, investigators identified the arrestee as 37-year-old James Turnispeed of Braggs and said agents recovered child sexual abuse material from electronic devices seized during a search of his residence. The agency said Turnispeed was booked into the Muskogee County Jail on two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. The release lists Hunter McKee as the contact for the agency's media office.
How ICAC investigations start
Many of these probes begin after cyber-tips are routed to state task forces by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, its CyberTipline reviews reports from electronic service providers and the public and forwards appropriate matters to regional ICAC units for local investigation.
Charges and next steps
The OSBI post included a standard disclaimer that "charges are merely an accusation and the accused is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty," and said investigators will turn evidence over to prosecutors as the case proceeds. Turnispeed faces state felony counts and is expected to be processed through Muskogee County courts; formal charging decisions will be made by prosecutors and the courts.
