
Last Saturday, out in downtown Gainesville ended with two people in the hospital after a stabbing on North Dixon Street, according to police. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Dixon Street around 9 p.m., and the victims were taken to a local hospital in a personal vehicle. Both people suffered non-life-threatening wounds and are expected to survive.
As reported by FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth, the Gainesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is treating the case as an ongoing criminal investigation. No arrests have been announced, and police have not released a description of any suspect or possible leads.
Investigation Under Way
Detectives spent the night canvassing the 300 block of North Dixon Street, looking for witnesses and nearby surveillance footage that might show how the stabbing unfolded. “The Gainesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is working to determine the motive behind the attack,” according to FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth.
