Downtown Phoenix is about to swap spotlights for full-room singalongs when Off The Record, a new singalong bar, opens Thursday, May 14, with a grand-opening night running 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Instead of a traditional stage and microphones, the concept leans into communal vocals, with nightly singalong sessions and a monthly family-friendly "Tune and Tots" series. Organizers say the venue will keep evening hours during the week and on weekends and will be available for private bookings for groups of up to 50 people.
According to KTAR, Off The Record plans nightly singalong sets from 7 p.m. to midnight. The bar is set to open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., with Sunday brunch hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. KTAR reports the grand opening is scheduled for May 14 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. and that organizers expect to host private parties for up to 50 guests. In a press release cited by KTAR, co-owner Ryan Oberholtzer described Off The Record as "an immersive, inclusive experience for music lovers who crave connection."
What the space will feel like
