
A deadly stretch of overnight gunfire in Mattapan and Dorchester left one man dead and two other people wounded late Saturday into early Sunday, according to Boston police. Officers were first called to Mattapan late in the evening, then rushed to a second scene in Dorchester around 2 a.m. Both shootings remain under investigation as detectives work to sort out what happened and who is responsible.
Mattapan victim found outside Woolson Street building
Officers responded around 11:39 p.m. Saturday to a reported shooting at 28 Woolson Street in Mattapan, where they found a male victim outside the address, according to Boston 25 News. He was later pronounced dead. The outlet reported that the investigation is ongoing and that no arrests had been made in the immediate aftermath. Police released few additional details in their initial public information.
Two people wounded in Geneva Avenue shooting
A few hours later, at about 2:06 a.m., officers were called to 255 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. There, they found two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Everton Street, and both were taken to hospitals, according to Boston 25 News. The station reported that no arrests had been made in connection with that incident at the time of its coverage. Authorities have not released the victims' names or described their conditions.

Investigators have also asked anyone with video or other potential evidence from either location to share it to help move the case forward.
