
A late-night shooting near the intersection of NW 23rd Street and North Portland Avenue in northwest Oklahoma City left a man dead on Tuesday, police said. Officers were called to the busy corner around 10:45 p.m., where first responders pronounced the male victim dead at the scene. Investigators did not immediately release the victim’s name or offer a possible motive.
According to KOKH, police said early Wednesday there was no suspect information available and detectives were still processing the scene. The station reported that officers remained in the area while homicide detectives took over the investigation.
Police seek tips
Per the Oklahoma City Police Department, homicide detectives are leading the probe and anyone with information is urged to call the Homicide Tip-Line at (405) 297-1200. Officials say tips may also be submitted through local Crime Stoppers programs.
