Investigation and next steps
Bloomington police said detectives will review witness statements along with any available vehicle or surveillance data as they work to determine what led to the collision. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office typically releases the victims’ identities and official causes of death after examinations are completed, a process outlined on the county’s Medical Examiner page.
Police did not immediately share additional details about the crash or whether any citations or charges might follow. We will update this story as Bloomington police and the medical examiner release more information.
