Deputies set up a perimeter as tactical teams and negotiators moved in, and nearby homes were evacuated while the operation unfolded. At least one person was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as serious but not life threatening. Officials have not released the suspect’s identity or further details as investigators process the scene.
Deputies say barricade followed domestic-violence call
According to FOX40, deputies were dispatched to the 7200 block of Washburn in North Highlands for a domestic-violence report when a suspect barricaded himself inside a residence and refused to come out. Tactical teams, including SWAT, responded to the scene, and deputies ordered evacuations in the immediate area while negotiators worked to resolve the situation. FOX40 reports that a victim was transported to a nearby hospital and that officials did not release additional information about the suspect or the exact circumstances of the incident.
