Pasadena’s old red-roof pizza joint is about to trade in pepperoni for pints. The Brass Tap, a Tampa-based craft-beer chain, is moving into 3110 Mountain Road with a roughly 3,600-square-foot bar and restaurant that promises a wall of draft handles and upgraded bar bites for the neighborhood.
According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the Pasadena spot is expected to pour 42 beers on tap inside that 3,600-square-foot footprint. The outlet also reports that an outdoor patio is in the plans, with an eye toward adding it within the next year.
What The Brass Tap Is Promising
The brand’s Pasadena listing currently labels the site as “Tapping soon” at 3110 Mountain Road. Marketing materials spotlight long tap walls, shareable plates, and regular events, while the location page leans on the broader chain’s reputation for a large beer lineup and a menu built to pair with rotating drafts, per The Brass Tap's Pasadena page.
Where The Space Came From
The new bar is set to replace the former Pizza Hut at 3110 Mountain Road, a transition locals have been watching since the longtime pizza restaurant shut down earlier this year. Franchisees Hely and Hiral Patel are slated to run the Pasadena location, and demolition and early construction work began last year, according to Real Pasadena Maryland.
Jobs And The Bigger Picture
Job postings for The Brass Tap - Pasadena show management and kitchen positions tied to the 3110 Mountain Road address, a sign that hiring is underway as the buildout continues. The move lines up with the chain’s broader franchising push into suburban shopping centers, a strategy highlighted in coverage of its bar blitz across Dallas-Fort Worth and other trade reports.
There is still no firm public opening date, and the Pasadena page remains tagged “Tapping soon” while permits, equipment, and staffing are sorted out. An official opening date or grand-opening plan has not yet been announced.
