A quiet Thursday morning in Sharonville turned into a front-yard crime scene when police say a man walked into his neighbor's house, then later stabbed him in the chest with a pair of scissors as the victim's child headed for the school bus. The victim survived with non-life-threatening injuries, and officials have now hit the suspect with multiple felony charges.

Officers were called to the 4100 block of Malaer Drive around 6:30 a.m., where they found a 46-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest, according to FOX19. The station reports that the victim was taken to Bethesda North Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, while the 39-year-old suspect stayed at the scene.

In court, the victim told the judge, "I'm scared, my family's scared," and asked to be kept away from the suspect, according to court records. Prosecutors said the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Collin Brown, admitted to using drugs and that his mother told investigators he had been experiencing hallucinations and making threats, according to WLWT.

How Officers Say The Arrest Unfolded

Sharonville police told FOX19 that Brown entered the neighbor's residence for an unknown reason about ten minutes before the confrontation and that other neighbors escorted him out before the stabbing. When officers moved in to arrest him, they say Brown resisted and fought with them. Police used a Taser to subdue him, and he was later treated for minor injuries at UC Medical Center.

Charges, Bond And What Comes Next

Brown is charged with aggravated burglary, felonious assault and resisting arrest, and a judge set his bond at more than $1 million while ordering him to stay away from the victim, WLWT reports. He has been booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sharonville Police Department at 513-563-1147.

The investigation remains active as prosecutors review evidence and the case moves through Hamilton County courts. Neighbors say the block is shaken after the early-morning violence, and police are again urging anyone who saw or heard anything to reach out.
