Maryland Transit Administration police are asking for riders’ help tracking down a man linked to an aggravated assault on a LocalLink 29 bus on May 21, and they have put his image out for the public to see.
Investigators say the attack happened around 3:22 p.m. after the rider boarded the bus in the 1500 block of Joh Avenue and later got off in the 2500 block of West North Avenue. Transit police released a surveillance still of the man and are hoping someone recognizes him.
According to FOX45, anyone who knows the individual in the photo is asked to call Detective Juan Estrada at 410-454-7720. The outlet reports there are no additional details about the victim or whether any charges have been filed at this time.
What police released
MDOT MTA’s police unit has circulated still images pulled from the bus’s onboard cameras and is urging riders to take a close look. The agency lists its Criminal Investigations Unit and ways to submit tips or complaints on the MTA Police page.

Senate Bill 208 in 2022 upgraded assaults on public transit operators to felony offenses, according to Maryland General Assembly committee testimony (Maryland General Assembly). This latest investigation lands on top of other city transit incidents Hoodline has tracked, including a recent Late-Night Lombard Street Bus Assault.
