
A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after deputies found him shot outside an apartment in Wake County, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were first called around 8 p.m. for reports of shots fired in the 9100 block of Fayetteville Road near Raleigh, but at that point they could not find anyone who had been hit.
After more than an hour of searching the area, deputies located the wounded man around 9:40 p.m. at a nearby apartment. He was taken to a hospital, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
