A Memphis man is locked up on a massive $3.6 million bond after police say they uncovered nearly 100 images and videos that allegedly show him sexually abusing multiple children. Investigators with the Memphis Police Department say Cedric Jackson admitted to the abuse and helped identify children depicted in the files.
According to the department's Internet Crimes Against Children unit, the case kicked off in April 2026, when investigators launched a probe that led to a search of Jackson's home. Officers reported finding the files and other supporting evidence during that search, FOX13 Memphis reported. As part of the ongoing work on the case, police say they also obtained an arrest warrant linked to a separate 2008 rape investigation.
Charges and evidence
Investigators say the files recovered from Jackson's home depict the abuse of multiple victims of different ages. Memphis police charged him with three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of rape of a child.
According to authorities, Jackson acknowledged his role during police interviews and assisted investigators by identifying individuals seen in the images and videos. Police have not publicly named any of the alleged victims.
What happens next
Jackson is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $3.6 million bond while prosecutors review the material gathered by investigators and prepare formal court filings, according to the news report. As noted by FOX13 Memphis, the investigation remains active and detectives say more charges or other developments could follow as they continue conducting interviews and forensic analysis.
Police are asking anyone who may have information related to the case to contact the Memphis Police Department tip line or CrimeStoppers.
