In the early hours of Saturday morning, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s homicide detectives converged on a Norwalk intersection after a woman was found fatally shot, turning a quiet stretch of road into an active crime scene.
Deputies were called to the 11000 block of Rosecrans Avenue at Studebaker Road, where they discovered the victim and quickly treated the case as a homicide while canvassing the area for witnesses.
Lt. Christopher Oakley told MyNewsLA the shooting occurred at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday. The victim, described only as an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene by Engine 15 of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Authorities did not immediately release additional details as detectives worked the scene.
