South Tampa is about to get a taste of one of downtown’s most enduring sports-bar institutions. Hattricks, the longtime Franklin Street fixture, is closing in on opening a second location along Henderson Boulevard, where construction crews are busy transforming a tiny corner lot that once held a dry-cleaning shop into a new game-night pit stop.
Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the owners are putting more than $1.5 million into the Henderson Boulevard buildout at the former dry-cleaners site. The project is designed as a standalone Hattricks that will serve the bar’s familiar menu to South Tampa regulars who would rather avoid the downtown trek.
Hattricks has anchored downtown Tampa for decades, pulling in game-night crowds with wall-to-wall TVs and a menu heavy on wings, sandwiches and pub staples. According to Hattricks' website, the original 107 S Franklin Street address will remain the flagship as the team stretches its footprint into South Tampa.
Construction Update
Wallace Construction Group has shared progress shots on LinkedIn this spring, noting that the crew is “just a few months” away from a grand opening. The photos show the lot cleared and structural work underway, a clear sign the project has moved from the drawing board into full-speed construction.
What To Expect
Hattricks first teased a South Tampa grab-and-go concept last year, describing a compact, purpose-built space with limited patio seating aimed at quick orders. That March 2025 preview, which targeted a fall 2025 opening window, highlighted takeout and game-night convenience over a full-service dining room, as reported by Business Debut.
Why Henderson Boulevard
The parcel at 4075 Henderson Boulevard, formerly home to Sun Country Cleaners, sits on a busy South Tampa retail corridor with the kind of exposure and vehicle counts retailers like to brag about, according to commercial listings for the site. A Crexi listing cites strong traffic and proximity to Dale Mabry and Kennedy Boulevard as key reasons the corner works for a quick-service neighborhood spot.
Hattricks has not named an official opening date, but the size of the investment and contractor updates suggest the Henderson Boulevard outpost could debut in the coming months, according to Wallace Construction Group. When it does, South Tampa fans can expect a smaller, takeout-focused setup that delivers Hattricks' familiar game-night menu closer to home.
