Road America’s XPEL Grand Prix rolls back into Elkhart Lake this Thursday through Sunday, turning the scenic four-mile, 14-turn circuit into a full-on motorsports weekend of open-wheel racing and family-friendly fun. The NTT INDYCAR SERIES main event is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. CT, with a packed slate that also features INDY NXT and other support series, camping, public karting and a Family Fun Zone.

General-admission options start with a full-event pass at $195, while single-day tickets are listed at $45 for Thursday, $55 for Friday, $90 for Saturday and $95 for Sunday. GA tickets include general parking and gate admission during event hours, and children 16 and under get in free with a paying adult. Tickets are available online or at the gate, per Road America.
Weekend schedule and broadcast
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES race will run 55 laps on Road America’s 4.014-mile circuit, with the green flag scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET). Practice and qualifying fill Friday and Saturday, with INDY NXT, USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 among the support series sharing track time. FOX Sports is slated to air the main event along with practice and qualifying coverage, according to INDYCAR.
Camping, karting and fan zones
Fans can lock in camping wristbands, RV and tent sites and hospitality upgrades, or jump into public karting at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex while checking out vintage-INDY displays in the paddock. The Family Fun Zone and on-site concessions are set up to keep kids and casual fans busy between on-track sessions. Road America lists camping check-in details, wristband rules and on-site activities on its event page; see Road America for specifics.
Getting there and quick tips
Expect heavy traffic on event days and plan to arrive well ahead of the headline race if you want the better natural viewing spots, since parking and viewing areas fill early. Bring layered clothing, sunscreen, a refillable water bottle and a small chair or blanket, as Road America’s grounds are large and mostly open. If you are camping, pack for changing weather, keep valuables secured and be ready for patchy cell service in some lots.
What to watch for
Road America’s long straights and elevation changes tend to reward aggressive passing and bold strategy calls, which often lead to late-race position shakeups. Alex Palou, a recent winner at the circuit, is expected to be among the contenders, and teams will keep a close eye on fuel windows and pit timing, per INDYCAR. Whether you are a first-timer or a longtime regular, the weekend promises wall-to-wall on-track action and plenty to explore across the track’s natural viewing areas.
