Four years after flames ripped through a Longmont pregnancy center, federal investigators are again putting cash on the table. On Thursday, June 25, the FBI renewed a public appeal, offering up to $25,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of whoever set fire to the Life Choices building in the early morning hours of June 25, 2022. The attack damaged the clinic at 20 Mountain View Avenue and left incendiary graffiti sprayed across the exterior walls.
FBI Renews Reward And Asks Public To Come Forward
In a post on X, FBI Denver reminded the public that tips leading to an identification, arrest, and conviction could qualify for the $25,000 reward and repeated the bureau’s tipline information. Federal agents are continuing to assist Longmont Police Services as the case remains unsolved.
What Investigators Say About The 2022 Attack
According to the City of Longmont, Longmont Public Safety crews were dispatched at about 3:17 a.m. on June 25, 2022. They found the front of the Life Choices building covered in black paint and the interior damaged by fire and heavy smoke. Photos and official reports from the scene documented graffiti reading "If abortions aren't safe, neither are you" and "BANS OFF OUR BODIES."
Reward History And Legal Notes
The bureau initially offered a smaller reward and later increased the amount. It raised the offer to $25,000 in January 2023 as part of a national push to spotlight attacks on reproductive-health facilities, per an FBI Denver press release. That release also notes the arson could violate Title 18 U.S.C. § 844(i) and potentially the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, 18 U.S.C. § 248(a)(3).
How Neighbors Can Help
Investigators have asked residents and nearby businesses to review surveillance footage from roughly 2:45 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. on the night of the attack and to upload any relevant video to Longmont Police’s evidence portal, the city reported. With no public announcement of arrests in the case, officials continue to press for new leads. Denver7 has followed the investigation as it drags on.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. Officials say tipsters may remain anonymous and can also contact Longmont Police Services with local leads.
