The small-batch roastery and cafe is owned by Jason and Taylor Spencer and Lindsay Marcano. The trio plans to roast beans on-site and lean into a cozy, family-friendly neighborhood feel, complete with a dedicated play area for caregivers and young children. Renovations are underway, and the team is already hiring baristas ahead of a planned soft opening this summer.
Jason Spencer told What Now Detroit he hopes to launch the concept in about 30 days as final interior work wraps up. Little Nest's own Little Nest Coffee site describes the business as a "vibrant neighborhood coffee shop" focused on small-batch, in-house roasting, and notes it will feature a play area geared toward caregivers and toddlers. A full food menu has not yet been released, and early service is expected to emphasize espresso and brewed drinks rather than a full bakery program.

Little Nest will join a compact cluster of cafes and bakeries along Mack Avenue and in The Village, where independent spots have built steady morning traffic.
