
Gunfire left two people wounded last Saturday in South San Jose near the intersection of Great Oaks Parkway and Lexington Avenue, after a driver reported that a passenger in their vehicle had been shot. Both people were taken to nearby hospitals with injuries police described as non-life-threatening, and detectives shut down the area while they worked the scene. As of the latest update, no arrests had been announced.
What the police say
According to San José police, officers first learned of the incident when a driver reported that their male passenger had suffered at least one gunshot wound. One victim was transported from the scene to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A second victim later turned up at a different hospital, also with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The department has described the case as an active and ongoing investigation, as reported by KRON4.
