A 62-year-old Henderson woman injured in a two-vehicle collision at South Maryland Parkway and East Pyle Avenue has died from her injuries, according to authorities. The crash happened on May 9, and the driver was hospitalized after the wreck. The Clark County coroner later informed police that she had succumbed to her injuries, pushing Las Vegas' 2026 traffic death toll higher as investigators keep combing through the details.
Police Timeline And Coroner Update

Investigation And Safety
Metro's Collision Investigation Section handles cases where a victim dies days or even weeks after an initial crash, and detectives are continuing to review the scene evidence, any available video and witness accounts. Police have not announced any arrests related to the collision and are asking anyone with information or footage from the area to contact LVMPD.
For commuters who treat that Maryland Parkway turn as routine, the case serves as a stark reminder of how quickly an everyday maneuver can turn deadly on busy city streets.
