Midtown is about to get a serious shot of spice. Habaneros, the Louisiana-born pan-Mexican kitchen, is opening a new outpost at Spring Quarter next week, marking the brand’s first Georgia location. The roughly 3,900-square-foot restaurant will feature a large outdoor patio and an indoor-outdoor bar, with a pyramid-inspired, Aztec-influenced dining room that is being teed up as lively, colorful and very much on the "let’s-make-this-a-regular-spot" side of things.

Hours and a Spring Quarter address are already listed on the brand’s site. Habaneros' Atlanta page shows weekday service starting at 11 a.m., extended hours on weekends, and a Saturday–Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with a Midtown contact phone number. Per Habaneros, the Midtown location is still marked "Coming Soon" while crews wrap up pre-opening work.

Pan-Mexican Menu And Aztec-Inspired Design

The kitchen is set to mix classic Mexican staples with broader Latin American influences. Previewed dishes include crawfish nachos, charred grilled octopus, enchiladas del mar, short rib al carbon and rib eye poblano, along with cocktails like the Chingona Margarita, as reported by WhatNow. Early renderings and reports highlight the pyramid-inspired interior and confirm the roughly 3,900-square-foot footprint, complete with patio and an indoor-outdoor bar built for long happy hours.

Part Of Spring Quarter's Growing Food Scene

Spring Quarter lists Habaneros among its planned dining concepts as the Portman-developed project continues to fill out its ground-floor retail. The mixed-use campus combines offices, apartments and restaurants to create a new, tightly packed Midtown block of activity. The Sora residential tower and the Ten Twenty Spring office building anchor the development, which Portman and the Spring Quarter team say is intended to pull daytime workers, nearby residents and visitors into the same pedestrian-friendly retail loop.

When To Go

WhatNow reported that the restaurant is set to open next week, although Habaneros’ own page still does not list a firm date. In a statement to WhatNow, CEO Omar Lugo called bringing Habaneros to Spring Quarter “an exciting milestone” as the company expands into Georgia. For reservations and the latest word on the official opening, keep an eye on Habaneros.
