Seared, a new steakhouse on West White Settlement Road, quietly slipped open for a soft launch this past weekend, giving Fort Worth a first taste of its spin on classic steakhouse dining. The rustic, remodeled spot is serving a prix fixe steak dinner centered on a New York strip, a seared romaine parmesan salad, bread and butter, and unlimited house fries, along with craft cocktails and a curated wine list. Owners say they are aiming for an elevated experience that still feels like the kind of steakhouse where neighborhood regulars feel at home.
What to expect on the menu
The restaurant began hosting guests for its soft opening this past weekend, as reported by the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram. According to Seared’s website, the core dinner lineup includes a New York strip, seared romaine parmesan salad, bread and butter, and unlimited house fries, with options to upgrade the main course to a filet or a tomahawk. The site also notes rotating a la carte sides and a dedicated cocktail program, and the team has been teasing menu items on its social channels.
How the space came together
The Seared team took over the former Pearl Snap Kolaches storefront at 4006 White Settlement Road and completed an interior renovation before opening to the public. Three days after the lease was signed, a Dodge Challenger crashed through the front of the building, and a similar vehicle later hit the side drywall, incidents that drew local attention, according to 360West Magazine. Contractor and permit records reviewed online show the owners pulled a commercial remodel permit associated with the address during the buildout, per BuildZoom.
Who’s behind Seared
The concept is led by co-owner Chris Jordan along with partners Bailey Batts, Kristin Peaks Thomas and Jywon Young, a group with experience operating neighborhood bars, according to CultureMap Fort Worth. Jordan also owns The Rabbit Hole Pub and Mad Hatter Neighborhood Pub, and the team describes Seared as a blend of polished service and a relaxed, friendly vibe.
When to expect a full opening
Co-owner Chris Jordan told followers in a Facebook comment that the team is targeting an official opening by the end of June, per the Fort Worth Star‑Telegram. Until then, the restaurant is encouraging interested diners to sign up for its newsletter or follow its social media accounts for updates on reservations and full launch details.
Neighborhood fit
Seared moves into a space longtime locals knew as the Pearl Snap Kolaches storefront, signaling a new kind of nighttime destination on White Settlement Road. The owners say they plan to rely on nearby neighborhoods for a steady base of regulars while also hoping to pull steak lovers from across Fort Worth once the full menu and booking system are in place.
