Two armed robberies shook southeast Baltimore early Monday, with victims in Highlandtown and the Orangeville area held up in separate incidents just minutes apart. Both victims were robbed, and at least one was assaulted, police said. As of Monday morning, detectives were still hunting for suspects and sorting through the overnight chaos.

What police say

According to Fox Baltimore, officers first received a report of an armed robbery around 3 a.m. in the 4100 block of Pulaski Highway in the Orangeville area. The victim told police he was approached by three unidentified Black men who were armed with guns, assaulted him, and robbed him.

Roughly half an hour later, around 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the 3700 block of East Lombard Street in Highlandtown. There, police say a victim reported being approached by two unidentified white men, one of whom was possibly armed, who robbed him of his property. In both cases, no arrests had been made as of Monday morning, according to police.

Police ask for tips

Per the Baltimore Police Department, anyone with information is asked to contact Southeast District detectives at 410-396-2422 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Detectives are urging residents to pass along any tips or details that could help move the investigation forward.

Neighborhood context

Highlandtown and Orangeville are mixed residential and commercial corridors where overnight robberies have surfaced before. A February East Lombard carjacking highlighted similar safety concerns in the area. The latest cases add to ongoing community worries about late-night violence in parts of the Southeast District as detectives continue their canvass.
