An early morning fire ripped through a house on the 600 block of Marco Road in Washington Township, Westmoreland County, leaving the home gutted and apparently a total loss, according to local officials and neighbors.
Fire crews were called out shortly before 4:30 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived, the single-family home was already heavily damaged and burned out. Neighbors and officials reported no injuries, but the charred structure was essentially destroyed.
As reported by WPXI, firefighters reached the scene just before 4:30 a.m., and "heavy smoke was still coming from the gutted home." The station also noted that no one was hurt in the blaze.
