U.S. Marshals picked up another suspect in the Arcadia Lake shooting case on Tuesday, arresting a man at an Edmond home in a probe that has already swept up multiple people. The investigation traces back to a large, unofficial lakeside party that erupted in gunfire on May 3, leaving one teenager dead and more than twenty others injured. Detectives say they are still collecting evidence and continue to believe more suspects are tied to the chaos that night.

In a post on X, the Edmond Police Department said U.S. Marshals arrested Marcus Kane Jones at a residence in Edmond. Jones, whose date of birth is listed in the post as March 3, 2005, is charged with accessory to murder and is expected to be booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. The department’s announcement states that his arrest brings the total number of people taken into custody in the Arcadia Lake investigation to six, and that detectives “believe additional suspects are involved.” The same post asks anyone with information to call the Edmond crime tip line at (405) 359-4466 or text tips to (405) 625-8398. (Edmond Police Department.)
The shooting broke out the night of May 3 at the Scissortail Campground on Arcadia Lake and killed 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray while more than 20 people were wounded, according to AP News. Investigators have said the violence began with an argument that spiraled into a broader confrontation involving multiple weapons and numerous rounds fired. In early June, prosecutors filed first-degree murder and related charges against two men in connection with the case, local reporting shows. (KGOU.)
The Edmond police post also details charges against a 16-year-old male who was already in custody on unrelated matters. That juvenile is now accused in the Arcadia Lake investigation of shooting with intent to kill, possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and several other counts that include alleged gang-related offenses and a firearm possession allegation tied to a prior juvenile adjudication. Police did not release his name, noting that juvenile matters are being handled through the appropriate juvenile process. Investigators say they are still reviewing video, interviewing witnesses and sorting through evidence. (Edmond Police Department.)
Investigation and next steps
Authorities describe the probe as a multi-agency effort that pulls in Edmond detectives, county prosecutors and federal partners. They expect the case to keep evolving as forensic tests come back and more witnesses are interviewed. Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Behenna has said prosecutors will seek the most serious charges that the evidence supports, and arraignments for the previously charged suspects are still pending, according to local coverage. Officials continue to urge anyone with information to share it, to hang on to any video from the party and to watch for updates as the cases move through court. (KGOU.)
How to help
Investigators say tips from the public could be key as they try to reconstruct what happened at the crowded lakeside gathering. Anyone who has information about the Arcadia Lake shooting, including people who recorded video at the event, is urged to preserve that material and contact Edmond police. The department lists a crime tip line at (405) 359-4466 and a text-a-tip number at (405) 625-8398. Law enforcement officials say community footage and witness accounts may play an important role as prosecutors prepare for upcoming hearings.
Legal implications
The arrests to date span a range of serious felonies, from accessory counts to first-degree murder. Prosecutors will make final charging decisions as the evidence record is completed. All defendants are entitled to legal representation and are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in court. With both juvenile and adult defendants involved, the case is expected to proceed on parallel legal tracks while investigators continue to run down leads and build their timeline of the shooting.
