As reported by WTAE, officers were dispatched to Merritt Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. Monday after a man told police he had been assaulted in his apartment. The victim said two of the men involved were people he knew and that a third person was a stranger to him. Police said three men were detained in Carrick in connection with the report. One of those suspects barricaded himself inside an apartment, prompting the SWAT response before he was taken into custody. EMS treated the victim for complaints of a minor head injury, according to police.

Search for another suspect continues
Police said they are still following leads and continue to search for one more suspect connected to the reported robbery. As reported by TribLIVE, officials did not immediately release the names of the men who were detained and said charges are expected once the investigation is complete.
