Three men were taken into custody after Hillsborough County deputies served a narcotics search warrant at a home on the 3400 block of Pettie Road in Dover just after 4:30 p.m. yesterday, according to law enforcement. Investigators reported seizing methamphetamine, multiple pistols, a rifle, marijuana, oxycodone and spice, and said the arrests grew out of an ongoing narcotics investigation that now has the suspects facing a range of drug and weapons charges.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, deputies executed the warrant on the afternoon of July 22 and arrested 55-year-old Eliazar Cardona, 55-year-old Jose Lozoya and 53-year-old Rodolfo Zamora. The agency said the search turned up a quantity of methamphetamine along with a cache of firearms and that charges were filed at the scene. The sheriff's post listed the suspects by name and age and included a brief rundown of the alleged offenses.

What deputies said they found
In its social media announcement, the sheriff's office said investigators "seized methamphetamine; pistols; a rifle; marijuana; oxycodone; spice" during the search. The post identifies Cardona, Lozoya and Zamora and lists charges that include armed trafficking in amphetamine in the 28 to 200 gram range, along with felon-in-possession counts for two of the men and multiple delivery allegations for the third.
The agency also described Cardona as a 10-time convicted felon and Lozoya as a three-time convicted felon in its write-up of the case.
Penalties and legal stakes
As outlined in Florida Statute 893.135, trafficking in amphetamine at amounts between 28 and 200 grams carries mandatory minimum sentences, substantial fines and the potential for lengthy prison terms. The state's firearms law, Florida Statute 790.23, prohibits convicted felons from possessing guns and is typically charged as a second-degree felony that can result in years in state prison, penalties that prosecutors can seek in addition to any trafficking counts.
Public records show an Eliazar Cardona with prior arrests in the Pettie Road area, according to Florida Arrests. The sheriff's office says the investigation remains active and that anyone with information is urged to contact its narcotics unit. Bookings and formal charges will be processed through Hillsborough County's court system, and no court dates were immediately available.
