Missouri City residents have a new spot for smoothie bowls and avocado toast, as Grain & Berry, a fast-casual superfood café known for its açaí and pitaya creations, has opened in Sienna Crossing. The shop is operated by co-franchisee Uche Jessica Mbaka and her husband, who are running the café while also maintaining full-time careers and another wellness-focused business.

Where It Is And What It Serves

The café sits at 9010 Sienna Crossing Drive, Suite 250, in a 1,620-square-foot space that wrapped up its buildout earlier this year. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the renovation was registered in April 2025 and marked “inspection complete” in June.

On the menu are made-to-order açaí and pitaya bowls, smoothies, fresh juices, avocado toast, flatbreads and quesadillas, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, as reported by Community Impact. In other words, it is set up for everything from quick breakfasts to post-workout refuels.

Owners Juggle Careers

Mbaka said she and her husband first stumbled onto the Florida-based brand while traveling, then decided it was worth bringing home to Texas. “My husband researched the brand, and we flew to Tampa to try it,” Mbaka told Click2Houston.

Click2Houston also reports that the couple owns an IV drip spa in Rosenberg and that Mbaka continues to work full time as an anesthesiologist. The Rosenberg clinic’s staff page lists Jessica Mbaka, DNP, CRNA, confirming her medical role at Infuzed IV Therapy.

What This Adds To The Neighborhood

The opening of Grain & Berry brings another healthy grab-and-go option to Sienna Crossing and the broader Fort Bend dining scene, slotting in alongside more traditional fast-casual choices. The Missouri City location is part of Grain & Berry’s broader push into Texas, with local coverage noting additional Houston-area spots as the brand grows.

Community Impact detailed the company’s planned rollout last year and has since confirmed that the Missouri City café is open and serving customers.
