Club House Kitchen & Cocktails has quietly closed in Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood, ending a roughly three-year run at a storefront already being reshaped for its next nightlife identity: Touché Charlotte.
The incoming concept is set to debut at the former Club House space, with The Charlotte Observer reporting that Touché plans to serve American fusion cuisine alongside cocktails, hookah and bottle service.
That would give the Central Avenue address a distinctly more lounge-driven follow-up, trading Club House’s neighborhood restaurant-and-bar format for a late-night concept built around food, drinks and a bigger nightlife pitch.
Club House Opened In The Former Lulu’s Space
Club House Kitchen & Cocktails opened in June 2023 in the former Lulu’s Maryland Style Kitchen & Seafood location. The project came from Chet Desai and Ricky Patel, with chef Myles Scaglione involved in developing the menu, according to Axios Charlotte.
The concept was also designed to work alongside Pinhouse next door, allowing customers to order Club House food from the adjacent bar and entertainment venue. It was part of a wave of restaurant changes along Central Avenue, where familiar spaces have repeatedly cycled through new operators and identities.
The old Club House ordering page still carries the former name but now points toward the incoming Touché concept, suggesting the handoff is already underway even as the digital footprint catches up, according to its Toast listing.
Touché Has Not Announced A Firm Opening Date
The available announcement details do not identify why Club House closed or provide a firm opening date for Touché. For now, Plaza Midwood appears to be getting another nightlife reset at a space that has already housed multiple food-and-drink concepts in just a few years.
