
A Saturday night ride through Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood ended in tragedy when a motorcycle and a car collided, killing a 29-year-old rider, according to police. The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. near the 600 block of East Locust Street. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The 31-year-old driver of the car was taken into custody at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.
As reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee police said the car was heading south on North Booth Street when it struck the motorcycle near the 600 block of East Locust Street. The department has referred possible charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for review, according to the report.

Motorcycle deaths have been a troubling trend across Wisconsin this year. According to current data from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as of June 28, 29 motorcycle drivers and three motorcycle passengers have been killed statewide in 2026.
