Syosset’s dining scene just picked up a new player on Jericho Turnpike. The Local Table opened Tuesday at 275 Jericho Turnpike, bringing a seasonally driven dinner menu, a five-course tasting from Chef Isaac and a promise of weekend brunch on the way. The restaurant leans into regional sourcing and a farm-to-table mindset.
According to WH Restaurants Group, The Local Table is one of several concepts the company operates on Long Island, built around seasonal cooking and community-minded service. The group says its model pairs thoughtful sourcing with an emphasis on better workplace practices for staff.
Chef and menu
Chef Isaac leads the kitchen and arrives in Syosset with fine-dining chops that include running tasting menus at Cuvée at the Chatham Inn, per Wine Spectator. The Local Table’s online menu highlights day-boat sea scallops, black sea bass, a farmers-market selection and a five-course “Chef Isaac’s Tasting Menu,” all framed around what is in season.
Local sourcing and prices
As reported by Newsday, The Local Table sources seafood from Montauk and fisheries in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, poultry from Goffle Road Poultry Farm in New Jersey, eggs from Oliver’s Organic Farm and produce from Norwich Meadows, Migliorelli Farms and Samascott Orchards in the Hudson Valley.
Newsday also shares sample prices that set expectations: day-boat scallops at $32, Jonah crab and black sea bass at $26, rib-eye at $75 and a deconstructed strawberry cheesecake at $17.
What to know
Per The Local Table, the restaurant is open for dinner Monday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m., with weekend brunch listed as “coming soon.” Reservations are available via OpenTable or by calling (631) 888-3353. For now, the opening adds another locally focused option for diners in Syosset and the surrounding suburbs.
