Eichholtz, a Dutch design brand building out a California showroom network, is planning a new showroom at 73375 El Paseo, Suite Q & R, in Palm Desert. The space will sit in the heart of the desert's most upscale shopping strip, joining the brand's existing Costa Mesa location as it pushes further into Southern California's luxury home furnishings market.
According to WhatNow, the Palm Desert showroom is scheduled to open in October 2026, per Eichholtz California, and will feature sculptural lighting and statement furniture at the El Paseo address. Eichholtz California, described as the brand's West Coast home, already lists showrooms in Los Angeles, Orange County and Palm Desert on its company website, per the same report. Designer Ryan Saghian, author of Unapologetically Chic and Ryan by Design, is set to lead the Palm Desert showroom, just as he leads the existing Costa Mesa location alongside his partner, Anthony.
Costa Mesa Store Set the Template
The Costa Mesa showroom, located at South Coast Collection, occupies roughly 8,400 square feet and carries about 400 designs selected from Eichholtz's broader European collection, per WhatNow's reporting. That store combines Eichholtz furniture and lighting with antiques and other objects, giving Orange County shoppers a curated slice of the brand's full catalog. A separate account from socoandtheocmix.com put the Costa Mesa lease at 8,423 square feet with landlord Continental Realty Corporation, describing South Coast Collection itself as a 292,000-square-foot luxury home furnishings and design center.
That earlier report also detailed the Costa Mesa store's assortment, noting it was configured as a flagship carrying a full line of European-designed bedroom, living room, office and cabinetry furniture along with wall art and accessories. Saghian, described there as Eichholtz's Founding Creative Director and Designer, leads the Costa Mesa team with his partner, Anthony Checetto, a pairing WhatNow's more recent coverage also confirms for the planned Palm Desert location.
Conflicting Timelines for the Desert Showroom
Exactly when Palm Desert shoppers can expect the new showroom to open remains a bit murky. The December 2025 report from socoandtheocmix.com stated that the company's Palm Desert/El Paseo showroom was scheduled to open that winter, while WhatNow's more recent reporting identifies October 2026 as the opening timeline according to Eichholtz California. The two accounts do not agree on the timing, and neither has been independently reconciled.
What is consistent across both sources is the broader ambition behind the expansion. Eichholtz California showrooms are described as offering furniture, lighting, objects and accessories across the brand's growing footprint, and the company was also said to be exploring additional Eichholtz West showrooms in Pasadena and in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to socoandtheocmix.com's earlier report. For a desert shopping corridor already home to design-forward retailers, a Dutch furniture brand setting up shop on El Paseo would mark another entrant in Palm Desert's increasingly competitive high-end home furnishings scene.
