The Manteca Police Department received the call at 9:27 p.m., according to CBS News, which first reported that officers detained a person of interest and that no injuries were reported. Six Manteca police officers were already stationed in the stadium area providing security for the game when the shots rang out, officials said, and they quickly responded to the Winter Gym area near where the gunfire was heard.
That detention count has since grown. As reported by SFGATE, citing KCRA, Manteca Police have detained three people in connection with the shooting investigation, an update from the single person of interest named in earlier accounts.
