An MTA bus collided with a car in the 1500 block of North Wolfe Street in East Baltimore on Thursday, injuring multiple people and prompting police to shut down streets in the area. The exact number of people hurt has not been confirmed.
According to The Baltimore Banner, both North Wolfe Street and East Oliver Street were closed because of the crash. Baltimore Police Department spokesperson Chakia Fennoy confirmed that the collision caused injuries but said she could not say how many people were hurt. Maryland Transit Administration representatives did not respond to a request for comment from the outlet.

In March, eight people were hospitalized after an MTA bus and two other cars collided in Baltimore's Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood, the crash landing at the intersection of East Preston Street and St. Paul Street. foxbaltimore.com reported that the bus ended up partially on top of one of the cars, and firefighters used bricks to stabilize the bus before attempting to remove a trapped victim.
In July, an MTA bus crash in Pikesville sent shockwaves through the region after the bus struck a building on Reisterstown Road. Maryland State Police said troopers believed impairment and speed may have contributed to that collision, with any charges to be determined once the investigation concluded.
