A Past First Avenue Closure
A distinct recent example of change in the area: Eater NY reported on Jan. 17, 2025, that Nino’s Ristorante at 1354 First Avenue, near East 73rd Street, was on track to close in June. That separate restaurant’s planned closure does not establish a broader neighborhood trend.
