Kelsey-Seybold Clinic held a ribbon-cutting Wednesday for its newest cancer treatment site, the North Houston Cancer Center, bringing infusion therapy, radiation treatment and advanced imaging together under one roof on Cypress Woods Medical Drive. The opening adds another outpatient option for Houston-area cancer patients who otherwise might have to travel between facilities for diagnostics, treatment and follow-up care.
The ribbon-cutting for the Houston-based clinic's newest location took place on October 21, according to Community Impact. Kelsey-Seybold operates the North Houston Cancer Center, which sits at 15655 Cypress Woods Medical Drive in Houston, per the clinic's website.
What Patients Will Find On-Site
The center offers an infusion center and pharmacy, radiation therapy, and hematology and oncology specialists, according to Kelsey-Seybold's website. Diagnostic capabilities include PET, CT, MRI, genetic testing and stereotactic breast biopsy, the same source notes. Across its cancer center system, Kelsey-Seybold also offers minimally invasive breast biopsies and genetic testing for breast, ovarian and colon cancer, along with other imaging studies.
Patients visiting the new facility can take advantage of complimentary valet service and free parking, per the clinic's website. Those amenities echo what Kelsey-Seybold already provides at its broader network of cancer centers, where infusion therapy and radiation therapy are offered in outpatient settings across the system.
Part Of A Six-Location Cancer Network
The North Houston Cancer Center is one of six Kelsey-Seybold locations across the Greater Houston area where patients can receive comprehensive outpatient cancer services and treatment, the clinic's website states. The other campuses are the Bay Area Campus in Clear Lake/Webster, the Berthelsen Main Campus near the Texas Medical Center, the Fort Bend Campus in Sugar Land, the Memorial Villages Campus in Spring Branch/Memorial, and the Springwoods Village Campus serving the Spring/Klein area.
The North Houston location's address on Cypress Woods Medical Drive is not new territory for cancer care expansion at Kelsey-Seybold. A 2023 report from Community Impact documented a ribbon-cutting at that same address for an expanded cancer center offering radiation oncology and on-site PET-CT, MRI and CT diagnostics, part of a larger campus expansion project the clinic completed that year.
Scheduling An Appointment
Kelsey-Seybold holds national accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance, according to Community Impact's report, and the clinic's cancer center appointments page lists hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can schedule an appointment by calling 713-389-4474, per the clinic's website.
