More than 600,000 square feet of warehouse and flex space is moving ahead along Pearland’s SH 35 corridor, with projects from small‑bay units to large flex campuses. City and planning documents show work is already under way or permitted.
UH Wrecking Ball Levels 1941 Tech Annex for New Innovation Hub
The University of Houston has begun demolishing its 1941 Technology Annex to make room for a multi‑disciplinary Innovation Hub that will house makerspaces, labs and entrepreneurship programs. Filings show a roughly 78,000‑square‑foot project with work running into 2028.
Mega Space Yard Rises by NASA as Texas A&M Lab Tops Out in Houston
Texas A&M’s 400,000-square-foot Space Institute at NASA’s Exploration Park has topped out, moving crews into interior fit‑out and giant moon and Mars testing scapes. The state‑backed project is being readied for partner occupancy in late 2026.
