Wraps Finally Come Off 467 Duboce
One of the most frequent questions we get here at Haighteration is, "What's going on with 467 Duboce?" Well, we finally have an answer.

Yesterday, the property's plywood cocoon came down, revealing a revamped version of its former facade. What used to be a storefront housing Wing's Steam Laundry has been converted into a residential property, but retains the same general exterior of its former incarnation:

Realtor Jonathan Deason of Vanguard Properties tells us that the building has been converted into two townhouses, and that they'll be ready to hit the market in three to four months. No, it won't be housing a Chinese laundry, despite the shingle hung above the first floor -- that's just a nod to the building's history.
Meanwhile, the property's rear penthouse apartment (467A Duboce) has been fully renovated as well, and has just gone on the market. It's a 2-bed, 2-bath unit with a roof deck, and it's being offered for $759,000. Attention wealthy benefactors: we wouldn't mind making this the new Haigheration headquarters, judging by some of the photos on the property's website:

Deason will be hosting an open house today, from 2pm - 4pm, at the unit. If you check it out, let us know what you think!
