Lower Haight Leftovers: Hot Dog Sushi Edition
Misconduct, breaking and entering, robbery, and bad news from the IRS. There's no shortage of drama in this week's leftovers. But don't worry -- it's not all doom and gloom...

Tomorrow from 9am to 3pm, it's the 29th annual Alamo Square Flea Market. The northern, western, and southern borders of the park (Fulton, Scott, and Hayes Streets, respectively) will be teeming with vendors peddling all sorts of knickknacks and edibles. Expect Scott Street to be closed to traffic, along with Grove between Scott and Divis.
Tomorrow night, of course, is Mrs. Doubtfire night in Duboce Park.
If you missed out on the Toronado 25th Anniversary celebration, a beer blog has a recap of last week's festivities, plus a recipe revealing the specific blend percentages in Russian River's T25 brew.
In crime news, a 24-year-old bicyclist was robbed at gunpoint by 2 suspects at 3am Monday near Fell and Fillmore. Also, a neighbor reports that Revolver (136 Fillmore) was robbed around 3am Thursday morning. The suspect, described as "a tall, lanky white guy with baldish head," apparently bashed in the door and ran out with a "load of loot" from the store.
Yesterday, the SF Ethics Commission upheld a misconduct charge against suspended Sheriff (and former D5 Supervisor) Ross Mirkarimi. Four commissioners supported the charge, while one did not. The commission will reconvene in September to make a formal recommendation to the Board of Supervisors, which will then have 30 days to decide whether Mirkarimi should be permanently removed from office.
As if being forced to close weren't enough, the Vapor Room got smacked with a tough ruling from the U.S. Tax Court recently, which declared that the V.R. can't claim tax deductions for business expenses. Apparently, dispensaries can deduct expenses related to "caregiving," but not related to marijuana sales. The Vapor Room argued that they were one and the same, but the Court didn't buy it. So, that's rough.

Finally, a band called Foolproof Four recently filmed a music video in our area for their parody song "Hipster Girl." See if you can spot the scenes at Duboce Park Cafe:
