For the fifth year running, Sixth Street between Market and Howard is set to become a bustling arts district this evening, as the neighborhood welcomes the return of 2 Blocks of Art.

Organized by Urban Solutions and the Central Market Community Benefit District, the event, which runs from 4-8pm tonight, showcases a "neighborhood rich in culture and well known for its cutting edge arts community."

This year, over 26 businesses along the two-block stretch of the city will be participating, featuring the work of 75 local artists. The full list is below, mapped for your wandering pleasure (and here's a larger version).

For a traditional gallery experience, check out 1am SF, whose current exhibition Memento Mori  features the work of stencil artists C215 and Logan Hicks. Across the street, Little Raven Gallery will be showcasing the work of painter JD Wilson

If you're looking for something slightly more unusual, head over to Launderland at 118 Sixth St. to hear pianist Allison Lovejoy knock out some tunes near the spinning washers and dryers. There'll also be puppetry at Home Skillet, wood cuts at 66 6th St., a DIY craft table at the Sixth Street Community Room and plenty more to keep you busy.

And if all that art-viewing and walking gets you hungry, check out the photography (and menu) at Split Pea Seduction (138A Sixth St.), or grab a popsicle at Garden Creamery's Ice Cream Truck in the Nordstrom Parking Lot. (Yes, it's the same Garden Creamery that's bringing a brick-and-mortar location to the Tenderloin.)

The art walk will take place from 4-8pm tonight; stay in the loop with the event's Facebook page. We'll see you out there!
