Christmas is almost here! Before heading into the holiday, let's take a look back on a short week of news in the Castro.

Last night, Magnet held its "Not Goodbye, More Like See You Soon" reception before it moves over to Strut in January. Magnet opened in the Castro back in 2003, in what was formerly Statscript Pharmacy. An archive wall of old posters and signs was on display at last night's event.

Goodbye #magnet , hello #Strut I love you, too. #loveyou2 #lovenote #castro #sanfrancisco @sfaf

Over the weekend, we found out that Harvey's will be temporarily closing for a revamp of the space and menu. Where have you been going to get your burger and fries fix, and what changes would you like to see at Harvey's?

Along with smashed windows at Walgreens, there have been a variety of crimes around the neighborhood ahead of District 8 Supervisor Scott Wiener's planned public safety meeting in January.

During this brief period before another winter storm rolls in, you may want to take advantage of the opportunity to go on our very merry holiday lights walking tour through the Castro.

And now, here are the neighborhood events to keep you busy this Christmas week, weekend and beyond:

Wednesday, Dec. 23rd

Thursday, December 24th (Christmas Eve)

Friday, Dec. 25th (Christmas Day)

Saturday, Dec. 26th

Sunday, Dec. 27th

Tuesday, Dec. 29th
