We've had a few days to dry off, but another El Niño storm is coming this weekend. If you're heading up to Tahoe over the holiday weekend to enjoy this fresh powder we've been getting, here's a chance to catch up on what's been going on in the Castro.

Over the weekend, we found out that Reveille Coffee's proposed parklet has moved into the design phase. Construction will begin shortly.

The Berlin and Beyond Film Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary with tonight's opening-night party. Screenings will take place all weekend at the Castro Theatre, featuring new films from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and more.

Hoodline sat down for an interview with photographer Hal Fischer, author of the recently rereleased Gay Semiotics, to talk about his life and work in a pre-AIDS San Francisco.

We'll have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy the view from Gay Beach.

Last week, we told you about Rec & Park's plans for a glow-in-the-dark party to celebrate the Grand Reopening of Dolores Park. As it turns out, that event has been postponed until a later date—and rain is to blame.

That event's cancellation will give you a chance to head to tonight's Community Safety Meeting in Noe Valley, hosted by Scott Wiener and featuring representatives from SFPD, the DA's Office and more.

Bay Area Bike Share will finally be expanding to the Castro, after plans for expansion were approved by the Board of Supervisors last month. In order to determine which locations would be best for BABS' bike stations, a workshop was held to allow residents to give their feedback. There's also an online tool to submit your ideas for station locations.

The last remaining survivor of the 1906 earthquake and fire, Bill Del Monte, passed away on Monday. His family is behind America's oldest Italian restaurant, Fior d'Italia, which opened back in 1886.

With SF Sketchfest in full swing, you may want to keep an eye out for comedy celebrities in the neighborhood. According to Tablehopper, Parker Posey was spotted enjoying dinner at Fable on Friday, along with fellow comedian Derek Waters (Drunk History). Maya Rudolph, Sally Field, and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet are all playing the festival this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled.

Now, on to your weekend events:
