The first week of 2016 has been a cold, wet and overcast one. If you've been too busy cleaning up after the holidays, starting to work on those New Year's resolutions and drying out after all this rain, here's your chance to get caught up on all the stories we've covered this week.

It's been a long six months taking Muni shuttle buses at night, with all underground light-rail trains closed after 9:30pm. But Muni announced this week that the shutdown will end on January 22nd—just in time for the Super Bowl.

But another Super Bowl shutdown is on the way: the F-Market is switching to shuttles from Ferry Plaza to the Castro, to accommodate Super Bowl City. That's a big concern for the Castro Merchants, who say yanking the trains may keep tourists and visitors from making their way to the neighborhood. So the city is stepping up to help, with special signage and advertising to encourage shoppers to visit the Castro.

The holidays in the Castro didn't pass without incident in the crime department. Our very own District 8 Supervisor, Scott Wiener, had his phone stolen right from his hand, and lots of other criminal incidents occurred, including an assault and robbery of elderly French tourists.

After a long delay due to state certification issues, Strut, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation's new men's health center, has opened on Castro Street. Its new name remains unpopular: do you think you'll ever get used to calling it Strut, or will you just stick to calling it Magnet?

All this rain may have you thinking about the sunnier days of spring ahead. Dolores Park will be ready for you: it was announced this week that Gay Beach, along with the rest of the park's renovated southern half, will reopen next Thursday. What are you most looking forward to in the new park?
